Alisa Houseknecht Ph.D., NCC, CRC
My leadership style is grounded in transformational leadership theory. Specifically, I ascribe to the principles for authentic leadership as identified by Kouzes and Posner (2006): modeling the way, inspiring a shared vision, challenging the process, enabling others to act, and encouraging the heart. My purpose as a leader is grounded in my personal values and guided by self-reflection. As a leader, I strive to embody specific personal qualities including empathy, humility, responsibility, and trustworthiness. I believe my role in any leadership position is to create an environment that empowers others to be the best version of themselves through self-awareness, transparency, and an emphasis on the importance of personal well-being, achievement, and contribution.
